Friends of Bear Paw, Big Hole & Canyon Creek Battlefields

National Park Service and Parks Canada Staff Exchange 

Each summer the Bear Paw Battlefield, Big Hole National Battlefield, Nez Perce National Historical Trail and Fort Walsh National Historic Site of Canada exchange staff for a week. These sites are "sister parks" of the Nez Perce War of 1877 and the Nez Perce National Historical Trail. This summer (2003) NPS Park Ranger Kevin Peters visited Ft. Walsh.
